Patrick is an MBA graduate from Pepperdine University with a B.Comm in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University, excellent analytical skills and over 20 years corporate development experience. Commencing his business career in the high technology sector, he co-founded one of the first large Internet providers in Vancouver, West Coast Internet Express, which was sold to I-star Inc., a dominant IP player at that time. Subsequently, through his company, Sunfire Ventures Inc., he helped several businesses grow from conceptual to tangible enterprises, including Storyteller Entertainment Inc., a digital multimedia production house, and Universco, a Fixed Wireless ISP focused on Canada and the Middle East and other underdeveloped markets. In 2001, he joined with a group of business contemporaries to form VentureQuest Consulting Inc., which assisted a Korean based developer and producer of advanced RF sub-systems for the mobile wireless industry in restructuring and rebranding in order to gain entry into the North American market. In 2004 he was instrumental in winning a major infrastructure concession in Russia on behalf of long-term family associates, The Invicta Group, which proved to be a catalyst for the development of his passion for the environmental and alternative energy sectors on which he is now focused.
